II and III works. But for I we will get similar to 1/x - 1/z, it is given that z>1 so -1/z will be negative and be between 0 and 1. But we only know that x and y are non-zero numbers. It may be +ve or -ve and the value might vary so we cannot conclusive say about the condition I

looking at at the structure of (II) and (III) and the answer, I feel that (I) is misprinted. Perhaps x has been typed wrongly in place of z in (I).

Could you mention the source?
