by aks5383 » Sun Aug 03, 2008 4:38 am
hi to all who would like to help me,

i took gmat in may and scored 620(v25 m 50) .i was disappointed because i expected a bit more.as i scored 580, 610 and 650 in three kaplan tests and 650 and 700 8) in official gmat prep.i scored 50 in maths with varying score in verbal.
could anyone help me to formulate the strategy to take the test again. i would also like to know how to analyze verbal section after practice.

Verbal is much harder to raise quickly due to the inherent difficulties with a foreign language, but that is not to say it is impossible. Your plan for increasing your verbal score depends on how much time you have to study and how great a grasp you have of English.

You will need to determine why you are getting questions wrong - did you have trouble understanding the question? Or perhaps the passage? If you had with comprehending the sentence/passage, you will probably need to add some extra focus on just reading English (via newspapers and magazines [scientific america, the economist, wall street journal, etc]). If you understand all the information provided in the question, but cannot determine the correct answer then you should focus on attacking certain types of problems that you frequently get wrong.

Hope this helps and do not hesitate to ask for more help.
