I hope some people can help in resolving my dilemma over GPA.
I completed my B.E. from one of the top 10 Engineering colleges in India recently. However unlike other top Engineering colleges in the country our college calculated CGPA on absolute scale rather than relative scale.Which puts us into obvious disadvantage. So on that scale my GPA is 6.72/10 or 2.7/4.However if followed the percentage conversion method adopted in my college,it will be 73.2%((6.72*10)+6)and then my GPA on scale of 4 will be 2.93.However if calculated on relative scale, with the topper having CGPA of 8.1/10,I will have significantly higher GPA 3.3(without converting to percentage) or 3.55(on converting to percentage).
I would like to know which should be considered my actual GPA and in worst case scenario of GPA 2.7 how much does it affect my chances in getting into TOP 10 MBA schools in USA.
I sincerely hope to find an answer here.
Thanks.
