I've 5 months and 3 weeks to prepare for gmat.

A) Should I prepare from Manhattan guides all of them 9 or should I prepare from Kaplan premier 2013 strategy guide or should I prepare from both.

B) Second I'm also doing 3 official guides.

C) Do I need to review all of my strategy guides again after i study them once and also official guides again after I study them once.

Hi november22,

You've given yourself plenty of time to prepare for the GMAT, which is good. There is no "magic answer" when it comes to how you could prepare though. You should start off with a general plan (e.g. study from one set of books and take a practice CAT every 1-2 weeks), but be prepared to adjust your plan based on your strengths and weaknesses. Along the way, you'll end up spending more or less time on a subject depending on how quickly you learn the content and the various tactics that can be used to answer questions that cover that content.

You'll find that "review" of prior work is a valuable part of the process, so plan to go back to "old" material repeatedly, so that you can keep your skills sharp and possibly learn new ways to deal with old subjects.

Your plan seems "book heavy", which may or may not help you get to your desired score. Since the GMAT is administered on the computer, practicing in that "format" is essential. You might consider investing in some additional resources to help you study.

What is your score goal? When are you planning to apply to School?

My plan is not book heavy as after these books I'll also do Manhattan 6 Cat's and MBA.com 4 cat's etc.

From your reply it seems review is important so that case I need to cut gmat premier 2013 from my plan what you have to say as I can study all 9 manhattan guides and 3 official guides and then review all these 12 books again but cant just spend time on kaplan premier.

My target is 48Q+45V+5AWA+6IR = 750 points
I'll apply in December 2014 for second round of admissions.

Hi november22,

I assumed that you were going to take a number of CATs during your studies, so that's not what I mean by computer-based resources. With your score goal, I highly advise investing in some GMAT Online Course resources (either a Class or a Self-Study Course). Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free trial or practice resources. You can sample the various options, then pick whichever best fits your personality, budget and timeline.

All the companies brig things from strategy guides or official guides so one can just follow a schedule and study by its own individual pace.

Hi november22,

You can certainly approach the study process in whatever way makes you the most comfortable. Most Test Takers cannot hit a 700+ with an emphasis on book study. Some people can though, and maybe you're one of those people. It's important to be open to the idea that you might have to make some adjustments to how you approach this process (if you end up getting stuck at a particular scoring level). You have plenty of time to get ready, so you have options.
