Two more weeks to go for my GMAT. Am scoring 550 average on the Kaplan tests and there are 22 or 23 mistakes in the verbal every time. Can some one pls tell me what to do!! I am freaking out and getting frustrated. SC seems to be very tough for me!! I went through the Manhattan SC again but in vain. I did the OG questions again but no use!! Is there anything else that is gonna save me?? Pls advice me on this!!

Kaplan tests are not a good measure to estimate your performance on the real test. Have you taken the free GMAC tests and MGMAT exams yet? If so, how did you do on those? If you haven't, DO IT ALREADY!

Lets take a step back. I panicked like this a few days ago and I realized that I need to change things a little bit. Kaplan is tough and there is a perception everywhere that your potential score is way above it. Why don't you try other test prep softwares for a change. Lets start with ETS paper based tests to build some confidence. then maybe some free tests online. then you can try manhattan paid tests and come back to kaplan.
200 or 800. It don't matter no more.

I scored two 540s and a 550 on the Kaplan CATs, 690 and 710 on the GMATPrep, and 670 on the real test. As others have said, the Kaplan test scores are not an accurate prediction of how you'll perform on the real thing. Good luck!

I've taken Prep 1 like 5 times and PRep 2 once.

In all the 5 times, I think the questions I come across have been different for the most part. Surprising enough, some questions in Prep 2 come directly out of OG 11th (probably 12th too then)

Anyway, take prep 1 or 2 again. The questions will be different. You might have the same first question. If you see the same first question, just exit, get out and don't save results and start back up so you have a different question so its for the most part - a clean test.
