hi,

I am currently holding a work experience of 1.5 years in IT on mainframe technology.
Am planning to go for GMAT 2014 so that by next winters i can take up a course at some university.
Preferably, i would like to go for a good college, but since i do not have a very good Academic background (10th and 12th % 75% & in B.tech 56% ) it would be really helpful if you could suggest me some colleges and score i should be aiming to get into them.

Hi sfcadhiraj20,

You have an average profile and low work experience. If you are planning to apply GMAT in 2014 then by the time you will apply for Business School application you will have 2.5 years or 3 years of work experience.

As per your profile you can target NYU Stern, UNC(Kenan Flagler), IESE Business School and Wake forest University. And to target these B-Schools you need to score 700+ GMAT Score. You can also gauge your chances of getting an admission in a top business schools by trying the tool https://tinyurl.com/acrp3n7.

Feel free to post any other query that you might have.

Cheers!

Hi Dhiraj,

I would strongly suggest you to wait for couple of years and strengthen your profile by heading a team, professional achievements and additional aptitudes. As these are the key elements for admission in b-school(s), so work on them. You have an avg. acads, therefore I would also recommend you to target 700+ GMAT score so that you are in a position to apply in top b-schools.

You may PM your details for free profile evaluation and selection of b-school(s).

Regards
Erina
