Manhattan's guides for beating the GMAT

by DBushkalov » Fri Jan 18, 2013 2:36 am
Hello dear Gmat - Community - Members,

with this thread I only want to ask one thing:

Will buying the whole MANHATTAN's gmat set of 8 (or 9) guides automatically include the acces to 6 free online tests ?

I am asking this question because I borrowed the set from a friend who sat for the exam a few months ago, but i dont have any free 6 online tests ? Could someone maybe give me a hint of how to acces them.

My target is to make 1 of them to estimate my level before starting, and use the last 2 after i finished with my preparations and studying.

Thank you a lot in advance

Kind regards

Mitko Bushkalov

Yes every individual guide comes with a code that gives you access to the CAT's , for the books i bought it was at the back of the book. Your friend may have already used his so you may have to ask for a his log in info if you want to take the tests.

Hey Mitko,

While we are super-psyched to have people using our books, technically the online resources are not intended to be transferred to other folks. However, if you have most of the books from your friend, all you'd have to do is buy a single book new, and then you'd have your own whole account. It might be worth doing, because otherwise you'll have to do a lot of resetting of various tests and drills and such.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot Mr. Wallach/ Tommy (I don't know which one you prefer :) )

It is a very helpful advice. Have a nice weekend and many sales of MGMAT sets in the forthcoming days.

Hello again everyone,

since the first CAT on MGMAT's homepage was actually for free I took it and started focusing on where I lacked sufficient knowledge.

Due to the very big shipping fee (from US to Bulgaria) and the long waiting period, though, I decided to purchase exclusively the access to the online tests for 49 $(instead of buying a book, then copying the 32 digit number to register it etc.).
That's the purchase I am talking about:

https://www.manhattangmat.com/storeitems ... 81&catid=4

My question:

when I buy it, will I be able to access the tests immediately? If so, are those tests the same that I would have actually been granted access to, had I bought the MGMAT's strategy guides?

I realize my question is a bit odd, maybe, but 50$ is not little money in my home country. Thus, I would like to be sure when I invest them in something.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

You can buy the MGMAT strategy guide as an online edition, and then get access to the free CAT's (They sell e versions of their guides) ...

When you get access to the codes and type them in, you do get immediate access. I assume that once you purchase the CAT's, you will most likely get access code mailed to you which should immediately grant you access to the CAT's.

E-Book access to any strategy guide is cheaper at 32$, and you will get access to the same 6 CAT's. [/quote]
