I would question the reliability of this poll. The survey respondents probably picked whatever class they took and had a good experience with. Few people are familiar with the materials of all these companies.

That being said, I agree with the winner - MGMAT is the best :)

Clearly, MGMAT clicks for a higher percentage of the folks out there. And I am not going to experiment with a course for about $1600. It's been a few weeks that I've been enrolled with MGMAT, and am loving it.

I'm quite surprised the polls show such a stark contrast between MGMAT and the rest. Yes, they have some decent books, but the poll results seem a bit unbalanced. I expected to see a more competitive representation overall.

From the perspective of someone who's seen more than a few disgruntled students from other programs, I can tell you we've heard slightly more "unsatisfied" stories from Kaplan, MGMAT, and ManhattanReview than from Veritas, PR, etc. --which doesn't seem to reflect the poll results--but worth noting. Of course, our sample size is likely skewed.

We actually have not had many students complain about a previous bad experience with Princeton Review. Similar to what gmatninja's heard, we've heard students' somewhat unflattering perception of PR--so it appears not so many students give PR a chance. This could explain why we don't have disgruntled students from PR--they don't take PR's course in the first place!

In general, all course have pros and cons. What's good for one type of student may not be good for another.

Would encourage you all to discuss non-big-name companies here as well! And would encourage you all to keep in mind your learning style so you find something that matches your learning style.
Hi all,

I am truly agree with GMATPILL(Zeke) and it is really depends on different people who have different kinds of skills; Instance MGMAT could be amazing for a person with diagnostic 600, on the other hand, Veritas could be worthwhile for someone else wants some stylish books and method. MGMAT BOOKS(mostlt verbal) are unique(specifically SC, #8 of their strategy guides) It all depends on people but THE MOST important things is all books and courses, proofed companies, without working hard will not have a good result. Knewton is SIMPLY amazing and I myself love it specially for people have lots of free time, course is nice.
Some courses like: GmatPill, GMATFIX, GMAX, Grockit are purely nice, worth money and well-designed if you spend time to discover them well, do NOT follow only big brand names honestly and whatever you feel suit you better go for that. GmatPill has its own unique method and structure which is highly appreciated by Zeke in details, well-written concepts and good explanations; It's simply amazing specially for people want to beat the gmat in a short time with a good basics already. Zeke himself develops all his website contents himself nicely and he is so brilliant. GMAX is so nice for non-native English speakers and I myself like it while they cover all verbal and math basic concepts with their high quality tutors(Sarai a native American one I know her and she is one of the best Verbal tutor all the globe in my belief). What I am trying to say is we can't say only big names can result in 650+ score while lots of people with some unknown and non-big-brand names get high scores. Grockit has a unique method which is so user-friendly and you can practice lots of different actual questions within their different services by people online in group or alone; They also have some amazing tutors like: Jim, Andera, Vivan, Fabi and...They are even better than MGMAT in some areas in terms of web-based contents and unique game based substance. You can review all the above posts within beatthegmat and gmatclub and judge which one you feel like better for your specific needs and wants.
What I wrote are only my experience and feeling and just i tried to convey that work hard with whatever you think fits you well and forget about brands!!

All the best of luck!

Online GMAT courses are a relatively new to the Indian market.

So just curious to hear back from Indian applicants who've signed up with any of the leading players. What has your experience been with it?

A PM works just fine for those who don't want to voice their views publicly.

The original post of this thread is more than a year old now. Are the results of the survey still relevant to today's GMAT prep market or have things shifted in the past year?

News of change in GMAT algorithm was in the air a while back. However, the best company will always try to remain the best and I am sure MGMAT has done its part in upgrading the tests. Also, I think the ranks here are a reflection of the quality of post-test analysis.

I got a lot of help from Veritas. I will recommend though to use their online services. They use software called Elluminate, Elluminate is a great system for learning. I think one could learn more using a class taught through Elluminate than they could taking the class in person.

Whether online courses or live classes, it all about the teaching style and content. I have found the best results were when people took the practice tests with official GMAT questions. The nature of the questions have not changed.
Whether you go with a a private tutor or a bigger name training center(e.g. Princeton, Manhattan), focus on the principles of grammar and math. There's no memorizing...

Manhattan's 8 strategy books are killer. Economical and power packed.
Let the juices flow :)

Do it on your own! Value your bucks!

If "they..." think you deserve a decent score you will get it; it doesn't matter whether you prepare with a test prep company or you prepare on your own!
