I took a GmatPrep test yesterday for the first time and got a 650 (46Q, 33V). Verbal has always been a weakness (CR primarily). I have, what I think are, modest expectations and really just wanting to hit 700. If I can go beyond it, that'll be great, if not, I'll be more than happy with a 700.
My strategy is basically to practice and master all of the official guides, Gmat paper tests, and GmatPrep. I'm planning to keep installing and reinstalling the program until I really pin down everything. I'm also going to start timing myself from now on. Yesterday, I missed the last 4 questions in both Quantitative and Verbal because I ran out of time. The two areas that take too much time for me are DS and SC.
Does anyone have any tips to share on how to quickly and effectively get the DS questions? I've noticed that I first will try to prove whats already given in the statement then try to disprove it by finding an example (maybe I do this is psychological...trying to give myself some confidence before tackling the question lol). This is clearly taking forever and I need to train myself to jump right in to trying to disprove the question.
