3 best tips for getting 700+

Hi Fellow GMATers !

For all of you out there who have scored 700+ ... what 3 big tips or pieces of advice would you give to someone who is aiming for a 700+ score ?

Don't think there's any shortcut. if you are one of those lucky ones who can spend 2-3 hours a day dedicated, then you should be able to crack it.

Sure ... not looking for shortcuts. Just was after 3 big pieces of advice from folks who have done the GMAT and beat the 700 mark.

One message I took-away from various posts in this forum is to get the Official Guide - GMAT Review 11th Edition - this book is written by GMAC and contains a whole selection of REAL GMAT questions from past examinations. All other books: Kaplan, Princeton, etc are not written by GMAC.

Make sure that you are using all of the time that the GMAT gives you as well as you can. The easiest way to maximize your time on the GMAT is to guess on problems that are way out of your league, shorten the time that you use on easier problems, and learn to automatically exclude bad answers. Hope this helps!

Thanks buddy ! Yes ... I agree. It seems that this is one of the other big challenges to overcome with the GMAT. Timing is definitely key.
Need to practice answering sets of questions under timed conditions ... of course take as many practice test under close to real test conditions as possible.
