premise talk abt hunting and lack of food. so all but a and b are contenders as they will only talk about these two.

out of these if one can find the age of reproducing from a given fossil origin of their extinct can be established. so i go for b

if you can compare the average age of rep. maturity from different period of times you can see the the pattern.

For example 10 different time periods and the average ages are as:

4 5 7 7 7 7 7 7 10 11

So you can see that this guy matures around 7..

4,5 years = HUNTING season
10,11 = they were hanging around :) Food, joy , music!

The conclusion is solely dependent on the age at which these animals reach maturity. Just based on this - all options can be eliminated but for B and D.

D talks about male and female maturity age comparisons - which is irrelevant.
