One complaint about recently developed "care" robots - robots designed to help care for elderly or sick patients in their home - is that they do not have the capacity for listening, expressing emotion, and tricking patients to think they can is unethical.

{A} - INCORRECT; According to me "capacity to" is better suited here; gives a meaning that tricking is a part of complaint
{B} - INCORRECT; Complaint cant be that robot cannot trick
{C} - INCORRECT; According to me "capacity to" is better suited here; gives a meaning that tricking is a part of complaint
{D} - CORRECT;
{E} - INCORRECT; "that they are doing this is unethical " is awkward

I feel
{D}
is better .. what is the OA?????

Hi rakeshd347,

This SC involves parallelism and some idiom/style rules:

1) The Idiom phrase: "the capacity.....to...." is correct. Eliminate A and C

2) The Parallelism is actually a 2-part NOT a 3-part, so a comma would not be required. Eliminate B.

3) Proper Style is to NOT use redundant/unnecessary language. The phrase "...they are doing this...." is unnecessary. Eliminate E.

Final Answer:
D
