Your answer got cut off on the GMAT--what was your score?
There's not a whole lot of information to make a really informed evaluation. Your GPA will count against you but can be overcome with great recommendations and a solid GMAT score.
I generally think that a great story with interesting experiences and the requisite scores will give you a chance at one of the top schools. I don't think anyone can say for sure about a typical school. If you score above 700 on the GMAT and have great essays, I do think you'll get into one of the top schools, but I can't say for sure if you'll get into U Chicago.
We here at MBA Helpers offer a free essay edit and I'd be happy to review a draft of one of your essays and give you some feedback on your strategic positioning.
Best,
Jay

Oops! Sorry, I didn't see it in the title.
Congrats on a great GMAT score! With that high of a GMAT score, many of the concerns about academic aptitude will be removed.
You are in great position as long as your essays are perfect and your recommendations are solid. I'm fairly confident that if you apply to ~4 schools in Round 2, you should get into at least one.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Jay
