Am I confused or is there something wrong about the sentence, "Setting free the more than 500 slaves who were legally considered".
I am not sure if I agree with the word "the" in the sentence above. For some reason, the sentence
"Setting free more than 500 slaves who were legally considered", sounds better than "Setting free the more than 500 slaves who were legally considered"
Any comments ??
