Messages remain in outbox

Hi guys, do you know why my messages remain in the outbox folder? I am not able to send them; they do not appear in the folder sent, but they just stay for days in the outbox one.

The messages remain in the outbox folder until the recipient reads them. They move in the sent folder afterwards.
