Retake in 1 month- Help devising a study plan !!

Hello,

I wrote GMAT on 13th Feb and got a score of 550, after studying for three months.
I also took a live online course with Kaplan.
in all of my Kaplan practice tests, I always scored ranging from 550 to 590 and never crossed 600.
I was hoping to socre above 600 on the test day but unfortunately I failed.

I want to rewrite the GMAT again within a month, so that I can meet the application deadline for 2010 Fall.
Can you guys help me devise a study plan. How should I go about things.

Honestly, I used to sit for atleast 8 hours a day through out Janurary and I still didnt hit my target.
I dont know what am I doing wronge.
According to Kaplan smart reports, by three weaknesses are number properties, properties of sets and geometry.

How should I study for a month, so that I can hit 640 or 650

Number Properties is a pretty big concept that you need to master. I would recommend getting Manhattan GMAT's number properties book as soon as possible. I really don't like Kaplan's approach. They don't really teach it in my opinion, relying on plugging in instead. Get that book and get word translations for overlapping sets. You will be able to push your score above 600. Good luck.

A score of 550 means that you're likely having trouble with verbal as well. What are your strengths and weaknesses in verbal? Did you use any other resources except those provided by the Kaplan course? There are ways of efficiently complementing course work with other materials. And don't worry - there's plenty of time to get you that score increase that you're looking for!

I'll try getting my hands on E-Book of Manhattan number properties.

According to Kaplan Smart Reports, my top three strengths are sentence correction and reading comp.
But I do know, I often get CR wronge. What can I do for CR.

I used all the Kaplan resources and GMAC 12th edition.

so how should I go about in a month?

I would try to go through PowerScore Critical Reasoning Bible. Its a great resource, it is over 300 pages though, so you may not have time to finish it. Go through the chapters on strengthen, weaken, and assumption.

I agree that the CR Bible is a great resource for targeting your CR troubles. I personally believe it's a pleasant read and it won't take that much to go over it. However, the book provides a handy list of most commonly tested question types at the beginning in case you're in a hurry and don't think you have the time.

No, I have no MGMAT Books. I can't afford to buy 30 dollar books now. I guess I will look for free e-books.
Do you guys know any link from where I can download a soft copy?

and guys I just found out something today. After my GMAT result I was soo pissed off that I didnt even check my percentile in each section. I checked it today and found out I had 74 percentile in Quant and only 22 in Verbal. I guess, I have to focus on verbal more than quant.
what do you guys suggest, I should do. Is 74 percentile good in Quant?

74 percentile in quant is definitely better than 22 percentile in verbal, so indeed you need to focus on the verbal part for the time being.
