The GMAT beat me :'((!!!!

by fleurdelisse » Thu Apr 23, 2009 2:50 am
I don't know what happenned to me - I panicked during the first few questions in the quant section so it took more time than it should and I just had to rush through the rest of the section.

I got a range of 720 - 760 on GMAT Prep and only a 650 on the GMAT!!!!!!!

I don't know what to do now. Will any good school even look at this score? I don't have time to re-do it. I work on days where they offer the exam.

I am interested in Columbia - has anyone heard of someone who got in with a 650?? I have a 3.7 GPA.

Would appreciate your input.

I've had students with 650-ish scores get into Harvard, Stanford, Michgan, Dartmouth...

So yes, if the rest of your application is up to snuff, top schools will give you a good look.

650-ish guys who get into top schools must have extraordinary profiles...for any top 10 school including Columbia 690 onwards should be a good score.. of course, 750+ will never hurt you
