Hello! I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to introduce myself.
GMAT 480 (38Q, 19V)
The score above is the result from the first time taking the GMAT on April 9th after two and a half months of heavy study in the Quantitative section and minimal study in the verbal. I had taken Manhattan GMAT courses a few months back and the instructor told the class to focus on Quantitative if we lack the proper amount of time to study the materials. I am planning to take the next 3 months (June, July and August) to heavily study for the Verbal from the Manhattan GMAT books (and study math in between to refresh the material and keep myself from going crazy from reading boring passages lol) I've never been able to do well in verbal sections of tests even though I'm a native English speaker.
Question #1:
Sentence Correction is more of a memorizing rules kind of game for me, so I plan to study in this order:
Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction
I haven't studied for a full month and now I'm motivated again! I think I'll have to use the books to focus on the Critical Reasoning and the Sentence Correction sections and use my English knowledge and enthusiasm for the passages to get through the Reading Comprehension part lol...any suggestions?
Question #2:
From experience, do you think it looks bad if i get a high verbal score and a low math score with the second test?
Thanks in advance for your help!
