I ended up getting a 440 (Q:28, V:23)
Well I have no one to blame on this but myself... I took this test WAY too light. I looked at the scores averages and assumed i'd fall in somewhere around there because I've always been somewhere in the 65-75 percentile taking most standardize test in my lifetime...
So I bought a Kaplan book, studied it a bit here and there (off and on for 3-4 weeks). Some days i would study for 2-3 hours, and sometimes i would take a 2-3 day break and do nothing... I didn't even find out I couldn't use a calculator until 5 days before the test (haha; yes; its the sad truth).
Well I took the test today and to my surprise I was freaking out on the Q section; the questions seemed A LOT harder then what I looked at in my Kaplan book... The verbal section didn't really seem that bad, but apparently I was wrong since i was only put in the 30th percentile...
Ok so after reading stories on this site I realize if I quit here and just get a job (Instead of pursuing my masters in accountancy) then I would definitely be selling myself short. I know I can do better.
My goal is 570. I will only need around a 530 to get into the school I will attend, but I'm confident if i spend the next 2 months studying the in's and outs I can manage a 570; or maybe higher... So if anyone else has been in this situation, or if anyone knows people who have; don't be shy to encourage me and tell me its do-able
.
Tomorrow I'm going to sit down and browse these forums and come up with a self-study plan. Any advise towards my study plan would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
