If you could assign a weight to VERBAL vs QUANT...

I read a post on the MGMAT forum that doing better on Verbal gives you a better overall score compared to Quant. I guess this topic has been discussed a few times before and the key reason is that a lot of non-native English speakers take the test bringing down the Verbal scores.

From the recent 3-6 months of GMAT scores, can we draw a conclusion to say to approximate that ... Verbal accounts for about 52% or 55% of your overall score?

They count evenly, but it is just a bit easier to move the needle on your verbal score. Don't worry so much about this kind of stuff though, really it is just wasted energy that could be spent studying GMAT concepts...
