Another exponent question...

I think I'm starting to get a firm grasp on all the integer rules, but I'm still getting caught up in some problems I feel are quite simple....the help on this one is appreciated!

If (2^x) - (2^x-2) = 3(2^13), what is x?

A) 8 B) 15 C) 21 D) 25 E) 33

(2^x) - (2^x-2)= (2^x)*(1-1/4)= 3/4(2^x)=3(2^13)
1/4(2^x)= (2^x-2)= (2^13) => x-2=13 ===> x=15
