Total number of defective chips in shipment is 17
Total number of chips in shipment are 51000

ratio of defective / total chips = 17/51000

this ratio is equal to ratio of defective to total chips in shipment of 60,000 chips. let the number of defective chips is X

17/51000 = X/60,000
X =20
