The integers k, l, and m are consecutive even integers between 23 and 33. Which of the following could be the average (arithmetic mean) of k, l, and m?

A. 24
B. 25
C. 25.5
D. 28
E. 32

The arithmetic mean of 3 consecutive even integers would be the middle even integer.
That rules out both options B and C.

For option A to be the answer, the numbers need to be 22,24 & 26, but 22 is outside the range provided.

For option E to be the answer, the numbers need to be 30,32 & 34 but 34 is outside the range provided.

The answer is option D, and the 3 numbers are 26,28 & 30.
