Request for Profile Evaluation for Top 20 US MBA Programs

Hello! Hope you are doing great. I request you to kindly evaluate my profile for the schools I have mentioned and also suggest some other program if you think it would suit me better. Thanks for your help!

1) Brief description of your full-time work experience.
4 years of full time work experience in Cisco Systems Bangalore (India) as a Software Engineer in an individual contributor role (software developer). Have got promoted once and have received an outstanding performance award.

2) Your GMAT.
750 - 50 Q + 41 V + 5.5 AWA

3) College info: The name of the college, your GPA or grade average, your major, year of graduation. For any graduate degrees, please provide the same info. If you grades are low, please indicate if there were extenuating circumstances.

College: NIT-Karnataka (India) (Among the top 10 Engineering colleges in India)
GPA: 7/10
Major: Computer Science & Engineering
Year of Graduation: 2007

4) Significant college and post-college extra-curricular activities or community service, especially leadership experience.
a. Successfully organized and led groups of people (4-20 people) on a number of treks while in college.
b. Completed Level 1 of a Paragliding course conducted by the Bangalore Mountaineering Club on 1st Feb 2009.
c. Completed the first level in a Spanish language learning course offered by Instituto Hispania, Bangalore, an Associated Center of Instituto Cervantes in Spain in 2007 (plan to do the 2nd level).
d. Led the house volleyball team (Captain) to second place in the inter-house volleyball championship in 2002-03; was also a part of the school cricket team.
e. Awarded the Silver Merit Certificate in The First National Cyber Olympiad conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation on 3rd October 2001.
f. Volunteering Activities:
Contributed towards teaching children in flood affected areas in Raichur, Karnataka in 2010.
Involved in sports mentoring of (cricket, volleyball) and interaction with underprivileged children of Boganahalli Government School during summer 2009 as part of the Cisco School Adoption Program.
Assisted various non-profit organizations (including Miniature Pinscher Rescue - a dog rescue organization in Texas) in their online data management tasks.

5) Important certifications like CFA, CPA, FSA, or CA.
None

6) Your target programs.
Fuqua, Tuck, Tepper, Kellogg, Sloan, McCombs, Georgia Tech

7) Your post-MBA goal.
Immediate goal would be to join an IT (preferably networking) company as a business analyst, and then get into IT consulting.

NITs are excellent which along with your 750 gives you a strong academic profile. I think you are competitive for your schools (and might even get some scholarship offers from the lower ranked ones).

However, I think you are setting your goals low which might affect your MBA admissions chances. (schools like applicants with ambitious, yet realistic, goals) A business analyst is normally a pre-MBA role whereas an associate in a consulting company is normally a post-MBA role.

Hello,

Wanted to get your feedback on my profile and to which school i should apply for . my profile details are as mentioned below :

GMAT
-1st attempt (took in spring 2009)
680- (48Q, 35V), AWA - 4

Education
-B.Tech in information Technology from Amity School of Engineering and technology with a 3.7 GPA

Work Experience
-2 years of full time work experience as a software program at Accenture services pvt ltd . and would have 3 years of ex by the time i join any school in the fall of 2013 .


Other Activities
-vice president of NGO.
-member of other social welfare organisations .
-won 4 awards in my organisation in a span of 2 years in my career.
-active member of disaster management board ( govt of india).
-was co-ordinator of events at college festivals during undergrad education
-gym enthusiast
-part time model
-played club level cricket
-lead the cricket team of my project in intra-organisation cricket league.

Target Schools
-please tell me about the school i shoud target at


Reason for MBA
-I want to grow in my current work area i.e Information Technology .I want to move from a developers role into a managerial role in IT domain itself . I believe i can apply my existing technical expertise , conflict management skills to understand the challenges faced by the team or a project , and building upon which i will be able to manage a project in better manner .


What are your thoughts on my profile? Strengths/Weaknesses? which schools in USA i should target for ? . Would it be wise to give it one more crack? It would be my second time and i am not too keen on taking the test gain , as i believe i have scored above what is considered to be a good score .
