Hey there LB,
Well you have a really fantastic background - with depth and breadth (and of course the fantastic grades to go with it), and I think that with an artful story you can have a shot at HBS 2+2. What's also good is your non-traditional trajectory - because most HBS 2+2 folks are not the typical business folks you see in the regular program (basically because they can get in later anyhow)... so your unique story becomes all the more relevant.

Oh yeah, and having a brother as an HBS grad helps.
;)

I think the "tricky" thing in your profile is to figure out exactly which story to use and how - because you have several possible directions given the breadth of your interests, and to take everything and as you wrote "weave" it together into something homogeneous and cohesive.

Just keep on working on your profile (and yes, be nice to the head researcher at Columbia! :), and start working on your story even now.

PS will you be applying to Stanford deferred and/or Yale Silver scholars?

Best,
JF

Thanks Jon!

Indeed, I have material I could use to build a story, I just have to find what best to focus on. This is where an experienced consultant becomes crucial.

I may consider applying to Stanford, but not to Yale Silver Scholars since I don't feel very strongly about their 'sandwich' structure.

Thanks again,
LB

I concur that you have a very strong and compelling profile; the challenge will be weaving everything together. Your internships are also very interesting and diverse (both intrinsically and to the other internships).

Although the bar for career focus is much lower for the 2+2 program (as well as Stanford's deferred admission and Yale's Silver Scholars Program) you still would want some plan for how you would spend your two years to both accomplish your goals. You list two possibilities of which the multinational nueromarketing firm sounds the most interesting. HBS has done some research in this area (https://hbswk.hbs.edu/item/6950.html). The key is tying this to your eventual goal of helping local companies rise to world standards.

Good luck,
