“No employee of any business, public or private, should have complete autonomy; even employees at the highest level of management require some supervision.”
Many people claim that a company could reach the highest profit if it allows the top executive or the most capable employee to have complete power of control over the organization. From my point of view, however, the investigation should be applied to every level of management, even to the summit one.
Firstly and foremost, regular audit plays a pivotal role in business administration. The companies which establish the standard of control would be impervious to internal corruption, especially in the facet of financial. For example, the outside auditor or senior employees always should review the reimbursement of the company's CEO on business trip whether all the expenses are reasonable, and for business purpose. The CEO perhaps spent small amount of company's budget on his child's birthday gift. Although it does not have critical impact, the CEO intends to falsify the document. Hence, the strict supervision is notably important.
Secondly, the harness over the top level of management could enhance employees' morale. By this practice, employees perceive that everyone is equivalent, no matter what the rank they are or how much salaries they have. Employees would have positive attitudes of fair toward the organization, and thus dilate their contributions and dedications to the company. Most importantly, the prevalent investigation makes them feel that both managers and subordinates have something in common. This undeniably also helps to strengthen the sense of teamwork. Therefore, the management will be able to improve the company with ease.
Lastly, applying the same standard to every level of employees can increase the reputation. The company will never conduct anything violating to the laws or company's minimum requirement. Consequently, the organization will comprise clean history and high profile. This kind of companies would certainly be the clients' first choice to deal business together.
All things considered, the strong and exhaustive supervision is essential to the management and administration of all kinds of organizations. Without such compliance, the corporation will confront with distorted integrity, lack of sheer manpower, and ultimately the aggravated competitive edge.
