square root of the integer x an integer?
1) The last digit of x is 2
=>x not an integer. (no integer squared would give the last digit as 2, all squares end with 0,1,4,5,6,9)
sufficient
2) x is divisible by 3
=> x can be 3,6,9,12....all multiples of 3
if x=6, sq root of 6 not an integer
if x=9, sq root of 9 is an integer
not sufficient
