Is the hundredth digit of decimal d greater than 5?

1) The tenths digit of 10d is 7

2) The thousandths digit of d/10 is 7

I think answer is D.

U are right but can u elaborate how u arrived at the answer?

The concept of decimal digits is opposite to the normal integer .

10th digit of 10d is nothing but 100th digit

and 1000th digit of d/10 is also 100th digit...

please let me know if you need more elaboration...

d=a.bcd
a is the whole number, b is the tenth digit, c is hundredth and d is thousandth. to find if c>5
a)10d=ab.cd
tenth digit = c=7. thus c>5 sufficient
b)d/10=.abcd
thousandth digit = c=7 >5 sufficient

Hi,
Let d=n.pqrs.... where n is an integer and 0.pqrs.... is the decimal part of it
hundredth digit of of d is 'q'
From(1): 10d = np.qrs...
Its tenth digit is q=7>5
Sufficient
From(2): thousandths digit of d/10 is nothign but hundredth digit of d = 7>5
Sufficient

Hence, D
