Question on GMAT scoring

by twinkle1234 » Sat Jun 15, 2013 4:44 am
I just gave a Manhattan GMAT test and found that my average difficulty for correct answers was in the range of 650-750. But my final score came out to be 590.

I am aware that the software gives the score based on the correct answers so why is not my score in the range of 600-700?

The official GMAT does not only score you based on your correct answers but based on your incorrect answers as well. Here is an article that discusses scoring and the importance of getting easy questions right. https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2012/12/ ... n-the-gmat

Have you taken the official GMATPrep Test to see what your score might be?

Yes David. I got a 710, just three days back. This amount of difference is more concerning for me, given my test is just 10 days away now.
