Please Help: 3 months study plan

by vijj_sharma » Mon May 30, 2011 5:00 am
Hi,

I have started with my GMAT studies 2 weeks ago (later May) first with a GMAT Prep software test and then THE GMAT OG (12th edition).
I have my exam scheduled in early sept.
So, my plan is to go through entirely the OG in 1st month (June) and then go for other recommended materials like GMAT tests, Kaplan for Quant and Manhattan for Verbal, practice AWA,etc...(July). Then in August, I am planning to go back again to OG and review it once again along with as many practise tests as I can (on the same time I have my actual GMAT in sept.).

As of now, I am practising OG and its going good as in I am gaining confidence and satisfied with my performance (in all the sections).

Experts please suggest: Whether my above plan looks good or any alteration I should make, as its still beginning phase.

Thanks.

Your plan sounds good.

You can also go through each of the GMAT Prep tests you have taken and note down what category each incorrect question fell into. Something like:

Quant - PS: 20 incorrect
Quant - DS: 10 incorrect
Quant - Arithmetic: 4 incorrect
Quant - Algebra: 2 incorrect

Find the 3 top categories on which you consistently perform badly on, and then practice those questions and learn the theory for the top 3 categories you identify.

Similarly, repeat these steps for the other categories as well. This will definitely make you more confident and master the topics.

Good luck, keep working hard, practice is the key.
