Galileo's theory that ours was indeed a solar system, in which Earth and other planets revolve around the sun, reinforced those of Copernicus.
A...
B. ours was indeed a solar system, in which Earth and other planets revolve around the sun, reinforced that of Copernicus
C. our solar system was indeed solar for Earth and the other planets revolve around the sun, reinforced Copernicus'
D. our system was indeed solar, in which Earth and other planets revolved around the sun, reinforced those of Copernicus
E. Earth and the other planets revolve around the sun in our solar system reinforces that of Copernicus

IMO E, but OA is B. Would anyone help me explain?

Verb Tense makes me confused here. And should it be [Earth and other planets] or [Earth and the other planets]?

B, this one seems easy -

the only answer choices worth digging deep into are B and E (this because theory is singular so we need 'that' instead of 'those' at the end of the sentence.

now between these two, B works better because Galileo is talking about proving that ours is a solar system, he isnt trying to prove the rototion of planets etc which seems to be the focus of D.

As per the contemporary theory of solar system, planets revolve around a star. A star and the planets that revolves around it constitute one solar system. There are many solar systems in the universe and ours is one of them. Here 'ours' is referring to Sun and its plants, including earth on which we live.

I agree with you. But in B, while [revolve] is in present tense, not parallel with "ours [was] indeed a solar..."
