To install cable television at home, a certain cable company charges a basic fee of $30 plus a fee of $20 for each cable outlet installed at home. How much did the cable company charge the Horace family for installing cable televiosn at their home?

1. The cable company installed three outlets in the Horace family home.
2. The amount that the cable company charged the Horace family for installing cable television in their home was equivalent to an average charge of $30 per cable outlet installed.

Ans:D!

From stmnt(1): company charge the Horace family = $30 (Basic fee) + $20 ( fee for each cable outlet)
so, we have 3outlets => 30 + 3 *20 = 90
Sufficient.

From stmnt(2): let X be the no:of cable outlets.
$30 + 20X = 30X => X = 3 outlets; so,company charge = 30 + 3*20 = 90
Sufficient.
