If square root of n is a positive integer, what is the value of n?
(1) 1 <n <5
(2) l0 < n < 24

How come answer be B....it should be D????[/spoiler]

This isn't a GMAT question. Both statements contradict each other. Either way, the answer should be E because the first statement n = 2,3,4 and in the second statement n = 11,12,13..., 23

Make sure you have written the question correctly, and if you actually did, then just skip this question.

Adding "square root" doesn't really change the fact that the two statements contradict each other.
It's impossible for 1 < n <5 AND for l0 < n < 24

MAAJ is right; since the statements in GMAT DS questions never contradict each other, this cannot be a true DS question.

Perhaps you've misread the question?
