Data Sufficiency - Tenths, hundredths??

If ☆ and ◎ each represent single digits in the decimal above, what digit does ☆ represent?

(1) When the decimal is rounded to the nearest tenth, 4.8 is the result.

(2) When the decimal is rounded to the nearest hundredth, 4.77 is the result.

1) number can be between 4.75 - 4.79 so star can be any of 5,6,7,8,9. hence insufficient.
2) number can be between 4.765 - 4.774 so star can be any of 6,7. hence insufficient.

using both still insufficient. IMO E
