90 students represent x percent of the boys at Jones Elementary School. If the boys at Jones Elementary make up 40% of the total school population of x students, what is x?

(x/100)*(40/100)*x = 90
x^2 = 90000/4
x = 300/2 = 150

Option B

--> x% of total boys = 90
--> x% of 40% of x = 90
--> (x/100)*(40/100)*x = 90
--> x² = 25*900
--> x = 5*30 = 150

The correct answer is B.
