Hi Lisa,
Thanks for sharing your insights into the admission process in the forum, they are really helpful.
Before I go to my actual question a little brief about myself.
I completed by MS in Computer Science from Northeastern in 2005 with an average GPA. I was the Graduate Student Representative for the Masters Class. I was also a Graduate Assistant and a Teaching Assistant.
I am a Certified PMP from the PMI and also have other certificates of merit in both science and maths.
My GMAT Score is 660. I know it is not great, I am planning on giving it again.
Since 2005 I have been working in a small startup where I had enjoyed great success professionally and also learned a lot about how a startup works. I have also been working on my startup simultaneously with the job and just recently filed a patent.
Before this I was working for a small company in India, where based on my exceptional performance they sponsored part of my MS studies in USA.
On the extracurricular activities side I am involved with Big Brother Big Sister initiative and other community leadership initiatives.
Overall I have about 6-7 years of experience and also I have already done 1 startup. My long and short term goal is to be an entrepreneur and that is the whole point of me choosing to go for a mba.
Going on those lines I am planning to apply for entrepreneurship program from the top mba schools like Columbia, Cornell, MIT Sloan, Tuck.
Now the actual quesiton?
Considering my work experience how much do you think my GPA and GMAT score would weigh in the admissions process.
It would be great if you could answer my query.
Thanks for all the help in advance,
