Hi Varun,

You have decent profile for ISB. You should apply to ISB with your current profile, and you should start your application soon as ISB has changed the essay questions this time. The key for success is to focus on your essays, recommendations and other aspects of application. Visit https://goo.gl/LUpi7I for latest ISB essay analysis.

To add to the previous poster, I would recommend you retake the GMAT as ISB's average GMAT score is above 700. Note your present score does not preclude you, but a higher one will help your MBA admissions chances.

Thank you for your valuable feedbacks Michael and Manish.

Just another query,

I was also considering the following b schools:
Columbia
Stern
Kelogg
Tuck
Insead
London Business School

All with same score.

What do you suggest are my chances?

Hi Varun,

Your list of shortlisted schools look ambitious but achievable with solid application. Focus on retaking GMAT and also start your application preparation soon. Suggest you to include some safe schools for increasing your chances. Use B-School Selector tool by visiting here https://goo.gl/LVWTay

A 670 will be tough as the average Indian GMAT to each of those schools is probably above a 720 (and perhaps higher). Improving your score will increase your chances. But if you graduated from one of the IIT's, BITS Pilani, University of Mumbai, Calcutta or Dehli or the equivalent you might be fine.

But taking a step back just retake the GMAT and then apply to those schools and let the chips fall where they may.

Good luck,

Thanks again.

Does knowing or being related to an alumni of any of these Bschools help??

How ? and what relationships does it hold good for??
