Any reason Haas 2013 deadlines are ahead of all other school

hi,
are there any reasons why the Haas 2013 deadline for application for round-2 is Nov29... a way ahead wrt Stanford,Harvard,Kellogg,Sloan,Wharton etc

Haas has 4 rounds. Their admissions season is the same length but in 4 chunks instead of 3. It kind of feels like a GMAT question: "what is the smallest length of a rop cut into thirds and quarters?"

What I want to know is why is the R1 notification date so late? They don't announce until January, whereas other R1 schools announce in December!
