REQUIRED HELP IN CREATING A STUDY PLAN

HI ! PLANNING FOR APPLYING IN 2ND ROUND BUT CANNOT DECIDE ON A STUDY PLAN .GAVE GMAT PREP AND GOT 430.THE BAD SCORE MAY BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN 7 YEARS SINCE I HAD TOUCHED ANY TEXT BOOK.STILL I HAVE 6.5 MONTHS TO PREPARE(TILL 20 DECEMBER 2010).PLEASE HELP ME IN DECIDING A STUDY PLAN FOR THESE MONTHS.

SOME SPECFIC QUESTIONS :

1. TO PREPARE INSTEAD OF JOINING ANY PRE-STRUCTURED PREP CLASSES I CONTACTED SOME HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN LOCAL .MY PLAN IS TO TAKE PERSONALISED TUTIONS FROM THEM ,AS IN SOME AREAS NOT ONLY I NEED EXTENSIVE REVISION BUT ALSO NEED TO UNDERSTAND SOME TOPICS LIKE PERMUTATION .COMBINATION,SETS FROM SCRATCH.SO WONT IT BE A GOOD IDEA TO USE HIGH SCHOOL BOOKS +GMAT BOOKS TO UNDERSTAND GMAT FROM THESE TEACHERS OR SHOULD I JOIN A SPECFIC GMAT PREP COURSE.

2.ON VARIOUS FORUMS THE STRUCTURE FOR PREPARATION IS GIVEN AS FIRST 2 MONTHS QUANT AND SECOND 2 MONTHS VERBAL +LAST MONTHS FOR CONSOLIDATION.MY QUESTION IS THAT IF I COMPLETE QUANT IN FIRST 2 MONTHS OF MY PREPARATION AND THEN STUDY FOR VERBAL ,WONT I FORGOT THE QUANT IN TWO MONTHS.I KNOW IT SOUNDS ABSURD BUT MY DOUBT IS THAT AFTER STUDYING 2 MONTHS OF VERBAL WILL I BE AS FRESH IN QUANT AS I WAS IN THE MONTHS FOR STUDYING QUANTS.

3.FINALLY HOW TO CONSOLIDATE ALL THE LEARNING AS I WILL BE LEARNING MANY NEW CONCEPTS FROM DIFFERENT BOOKS.

ANY OTHER BETTER STUDY PLAN TO REACH 720 LEVEL IS APPRECIATED.WILL APPRECIATE HELP FROM ALL THE INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ON THIS SITE.

TO SOME THESE QUESTIONS MAY LOOK LIKE ABSURD QUESTIONS BUT "I AM AN ORDINARY STUDENT LOOKING FOR AN EXTRA-ORDINARY RESULT "

THANX :) :) :)

Find a place where you're most comfortable with. Do practice test on the each categories for the same amount of time, I guess for about a week. Then add more time to those topics which you have difficulties with. It worked for me. But there are lots of good study plans in the internet to choose from. Pick one which suites your needs.
