Another Number Problem

Problem: An odd number added to itself an odd number of times yields:
(a) odd number
(b) even number
(c) prime number
(d) positive number
(e) perfect square

My question is, considering the number to be x and let n= any odd number. So the addition mentioned will be equal to x = (x + xn) or x = xn?

I think what you mean to ask is whether adding x to itself n number of times equals to (x + xn) or xn?

It will be equal to (x + xn).
Because, adding x to itself n number of times means adding (n + 1) number of x : originally one x and then adding n number of x to it.
Whereas, xn means adding n number of x.

To illustrate with example, adding 3 to itself 3 times means 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12
