Dear Stacy,

I hold a Bachelors and Masters in Electronics Engg, followed by over 4 years of work experience. Most of that has been in a small company, in the area of semiconductors and high frequency electronics. I recently gave the GMAT and scored 720 (Q46, V42). My previous acads are reasonably strong (3.8 GPA, and top 5-6% of class) .

I am in the process of selecting a good school in line with my background. I would prefer a 1-year MBA. I know that apart from Cornell, there are few top 1 year-MBA programmes in the US. Can you please suggest appropriate schools in the US/elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Alex

Dear Alex,

I will kindly refer you to our sticky on school selection for some tips and suggestions on identifying schools. You can also try to search on www.mba.com for one-year programs as a way to generate a list to explore. Most schools in the US that offer a one-year option usually require the applicants to have a bachelor's degree in business, so be sure to check the admissions requirements for the various programs.

Good luck,
Lisa

I think Queens and INSEAD do offer a 1 year MBA. But those belong to the "elsewhere" part of your question :P
