Hi all,
I aim to beat GMAT in early August. So far, i completed PR & Kaplan. I've no issues with Math, with some practice i can ace it. Trouble comes with Verbal.
I'm comfortable solving CR & RC eventhough they take long time. I take so long because; Firstly, my english reading speed is around 130 words per minute. Secondly, i'm so used to reading sentences mulitple times in order to comprehend clearly.
Can anyone guide me, who had this problem and how did they overcome?
How did you improve on reading speed and comprehension?
Any suggestions are welcome
Next comes the monster, SC. I went thru MR SC guide twice and got familiar with rules. Prepared flashcards etc.,. But, when i attempt to solve OG questions and look at the OG explanations, i get scared because my analysis is no where near OG's analysis. Is it normal? How to think like GMAC thinks?
Any good step by step strategy on how to start analysing the SC question?
How to analyse? what to consider and what to ingnore when reading the question?
May be more practice and exposure solve this problem but i'm too anxious as time is a constraint. Who wants to work hard if there is smart way?
I believe any reply to this post will help a lot of non-native english speakers.
Observation : It is interesting that as i type for this post i'm conciously thinking about grammatical correctness. Side effects of GMAT
Cheers
