As far as verbal is concerned, what really worked for me in CR and RC were

a) doing every question in timed condition

b) looking at the wrong answer choices after I had practiced a set of questions. Believe me, the GMAT CR and RC sections have a finite number of ways in which wrong answer choices are framed. So always make sure you know why an answer choice was wrong.

c) doing the OG SC as you are reading the Manhattan SC

Mastering OG
practicing CAT
& taking real GMAT are different ball games.
right
I may solve all problems in OG correctly but I may take 5 mins to solve every sum! what more important is, I got to solve them in about ~1min, right? hence time factor is very crucial.

In order to gain a mastery over OG you need to have basic math & verbal fundamentals right. You can work on pacing and timing during your CAT practicing phase.
