GMATPrep2 - 650 Q40 V39

by mleviko » Fri Dec 07, 2007 4:38 am
After the first feel of the GMAT where I scored 570 Q34 V35 and saw GMAT questions for the first time, I decided today to take the second GMATPrep test.

This time I scored 650 with Q40 and V39. And had some reflections:

1. How come the difference between the two tests is so important? I took the first one this Tuesday, and in between I just read in GMAT forums, but never opened a prep book. Is it possible that the second test is easier?

2. I still see a big weakness in DS and SC, those are definetly two skills that I must work on heavily.

3. I finished the Q section at time and the V section almost 22 minutes ahead of time, must use this spare time to read more carefully each question.

4. Must work on english grammar, especially for SC

You guys have any interesting comments?

That is certainly a big jump--there should not be a "difficulty" difference between the two tests.

You definitely must work on your pacing! Finishing each section too early is not good because it just means you could have spent more time per question and could have avoided some potentially careless errors!

For the SC stuff, think about purchasing the Manhattan GMAT book, https://www.beatthegmat.com/books.html
