A national survey of 10,000 employed Americans indicated that, as a group, those who had held four or more different jobs in the past five years registered by far the highest level of dissatisfaction with their family and work. From this, psychologists concluded that people who do not remain in a job situation long enough to establish strong personal and professional ties tend to develop an attitude of discontent that carries over into all other aspects of their life.
Which of the following is the most effective rebuttal to the conclusion drawn by the psychologists from the survey?
A)The psychologists fail to recognize that many people who have remained in the same job for the past five years may also have registered high levels of dissatisfaction.
B)The psychologists neglect the question of whether moving from job to job may be an effect rather than a cause of general discontent and dissatisfaction.
C)The conclusion is drawn from a limited sample which may or may not be representative of the larger group of all employed Americans.
D)The psychologists do not address the fact that some people move from one job to another to increase their salaries and opportunities rather to escape an unsatisfactory situation.
E)The psychologists neglect the fact that some people who have remained in the same job for the past five years do not establish strong ties with their co-workers.
Can anyone let me know how A is incorrect?
As per the conclusion of the argument those who only change the job tend to develop dissatisfaction. So the conclusion ignore the fact that many people who have remained in the same job for the past five years may also have registered high levels of dissatisfaction.
am I not correct?? please explain me where I am wrong?? please let me know how to attack this one !!
