Confused about the meaning

Hi,

I couldn't figure out meaning of the following sentence.

I will join MBA only if I cant find a job

I will join MBA unless I cannot find a job

Can anyone please help understand meaning?

IMO
1> The author will join MBA in a situation where (s)he doesn't land up a job, (s)he hasn't got into MBA yet
2> (s)he will continue MBA till (s)he finds a job

correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

The second one is saying that you are going to join MBA unless you can't find a job.

So if you can't find a job, you won't be joining MBA... Doesn't makes much sense...
