Using 1st person in your Analysis of an Issue argument is fine. You don't have to be overly formal in the essay, and you'll need personal pronouns if you're using personal examples.
On the other hand, remember that the readers of your essay already know that what you're writing is your opinion, so try not to overuse unnecessary phrases like "I think," "in my opinion," etc.
