Yet has 2 uses:
=> Conjunction for showing contrast
=> As an adverb

In the following sentence i could not find how 'yet' is used. Can you please explain

The company claimed to have created a backpack so capacious that it could simultaneously hold four textbooks, a laptop computer, and necessary school supplies, yet so light and well-designed that even a seventh-grader could wear it comfortably.

Yet is a co-ordinating conjunction which joins 2 independent clause and (,yet so light & well designed) does not have any subject. Is the subject(backpack) is implied and thats y we can remove it.
