For the safety-conscious Swedish market, a United States manufacturer of desktop computers developed a special display screen that produces a much weaker electromagnetic field surrounding the user than do ordinary screens. Despite an advantage in this respect over its competitors, the manufacturer is introducing the screen into the United States market without advertising it as a safety improvement.

From the premises:

Unlike Swedish Market, US Market is not concerned about safety (explicitly). The product is released into US market without being mentioned about its technical advantage.

Options: (Reason for not mentioning the new advancement)

A - Number of sold comparison between the 2 markets is Irrelevant as a reason.

B - Advance in Technology: If the manufacturer does not mention it then how will the customers also can know that these screens are better in terms of weaker magnetic field. In the fear of competition if the manufacturer does not say it then the advance in technology is just a secret for the both the competitor and the user. Thus it cannot be a reason.

C - It just mentions a general fact that emphasizes a advancement of technology. Irrelevant as a reason.

D - Left out after POE. This is the only valid reason behind hiding the advance in technology. If any product of manufacture is called into question then it can hamper the sale of new screens also.

E - This suggests the manufacturer should mention the advance in technology. Contradicts what manufacturer has done. Irrelevant as a reason.
