Let's assume the world consists of 1000 people - 200 left handed and 800 right handed.Derek1988 wrote:why B is wrong?
The stimulus says that the left handed people are more likely to contract influenza.
Lets say that likelihood for left handed people is 40 % and let's say the likelihood that a right handed person contracts influenza is 20%.
Now in the world number of LH people with influenza = 80, but the number of RH people with influenza = 160. In this group most people who contacted influenza are right handed -> 160 among 240.
Hope it helps
